Show a window or your screen using the Teams desktop app on Windows.
Before you start: Close private windows and silence notifications. If sharing is unavailable, ask the organizer to make you a presenter.
Start sharing
- Select Share in the meeting controls.
- Turn on Include sound if you want others to hear a video or audio clip.
- Choose Window for one app, or Screen for your whole display.
Check the sound
- Play your video or audio clip.
- Ask someone in the meeting to confirm they can hear it.
All computer audio, including notifications, is shared. On Windows, Teams and your computer must use the same speaker output.
Stop sharing
- Select Stop sharing on the presenter toolbar.
Using a Mac: Screen sharing needs macOS permission. Computer audio may need the Teams audio driver and a restart. See Microsoft’s Mac audio instructions before the meeting.
