This guide provides instructions for downloading your Zoom cloud recordings and uploading them to your AU OneDrive account.
Download from Zoom
-
Sign in to Okta and select the Zoom app.
- Select Recordings.
- Locate your recordings. You may need to click on the filters to find them.
- Hover over a recording and click the three horizontal dots, then click Recording details.
- Click the Download button.
-
Click Download again to download all available files that correspond to the recording including MP4 video, M4A audio, VTT transcript and TXT chat if available.
Upload to OneDrive
-
Sign in to Okta and open OneDrive. If you open the Office 365 app first, use the app launcher to select OneDrive.
-
Open My files and choose a folder for the recording. To create a folder, select the Create or upload button and then click Folder.
-
Click Create or upload, then Files upload.
- Select the downloaded meeting files from your Downloads folder and click Open. Wait for the upload to finish and the files will become available in OneDrive.
Check and share
- Open the video in OneDrive and test playback and sound.
- Check that the audio, transcript and chat files you need are present and readable. A saved VTT preserves the transcript; it does not automatically add captions to the video. For playable captions, see Microsoft caption guidance.
- Select Share. Choose the intended viewers and Can view unless they need editing access.
- Follow the Share OneDrive Files and Folders guide to create a link.
-
Ask an intended viewer to test the new link before replacing old Zoom links.
Zoom links and permissions do not transfer. Keep originals until playback, required transcripts or captions, and viewer access are verified.
