Create a Turnitin Course

To use Turnitin, contact the ITS Helpdesk at itshelp@aurora.edu to request an account. Once you receive the email invitation (check spam), you can set up your Turnitin course. Please note that ITS does not manage Turnitin courses.

  1. Click on the invitation email and follow the steps to create your account.
     
  2. Once your account is created, begin setting up your course(s). To get started, click + Add Class.
  3. From the "Create a New Class" page, set up your enrollment key. It needs to be 4-12 characters. Note: ITS does not manage this key.
  4. Click Submit when you are finished creating your course.
  5. Once you have created your course, a confirmation will display your Class ID and Enrollment key. Click Continue.
  6. You are directed to the homepage. Click on the name of the course to access it.
  7. To create a new assignment click on + Add Assignment.
  8. Configure the assignment as you prefer, and then click Submit.

  9. You have now created a new assignment.
  10. If you forget your enrollment key, you can find it on the homepage by clicking on the Edit cog wheel icon. You will also find the class ID to the left of the course name.

  11. You can now share the enrollment key and class ID with your students.
