Newline Display Overlay and Whiteboard Overview

Whiteboard Application

The Newline Whiteboard application is an embedded feature on Newline interactive displays, offering tools for drawing, writing, and collaborating.

  1. Tap the whiteboard button to the left of the display.
  2. Select the Draw tool from the toolbar and begin writing or drawing with either the stylus or your finger.
  3. Long-press the "+" button to change the background color and pattern.

Whiteboard Overlay

The Whiteboard Overlay option allows you to layer the whiteboard content on top of your current screen.

  1. Tap the paper and pencil icon on the left side of the display to pull up the whiteboard overlay option.

    • This action will initiate a transparent layer over your existing display's content.
  2. Once the overlay is active you can use the display's pen or your finger to write, draw or annotate on the overlay in digital ink.
    • The whiteboard applications tools are located at the bottom of the display.
    • There are tools such as various pen sizes, colors, and an eraser.
  3. To clear the overlay, double tap the whiteboard overlay button. 

Deleting the Whiteboard Content

  1. Using the Clear Page option
    • Locate the "trash" icon on the top left of the toolbar.
    • Select the dropdown menu and tap "clear page" to erase all content on the whiteboard or the overlay.
  2. Using the Eraser Tool
    • Select the eraser from the toolbar and drag the eraser over the content you wish to erase.
  3. Using the Clear Screen Button
    • Click the clear screen button on the toolbar to clear all content on the screen.
