StackAI Quick Start Setup

Overview

Stack AI is a low-code platform that enables users to build custom AI Assistants without extensive coding or AI expertise. This comprehensive guide will walk you through creating your own AI Assistant step by step.

When you are modifying your agent, make sure to save changes by selecting Publish Agent in the top right of the screen

Setup Instructions

1. Login Process

  1. Navigate to Okta at aurorauniversity.okta.com and log in.
  2. Click on the StackAI SSO Login widget.
  3. Enter your Aurora University (AU) email address to log in.

     

2. Creating Your AI Assistant

Method 1: Quick Start Widget

  • Select Create on the Quick Start widget.

3. Project Configuration

3.1 Project Naming

  • Rename your project by selecting the current project name at the top of the page.

3.2 Agent Details

In the workspace on the right side of the screen:

  • Enter a name for your agent.
  • Add a concise description of the agent's purpose.
  • Optional: Choose an AI Provider and AI Model from the options below:
    OpenAI - GPT 
    Anthropic - Claude
    Google - Gemini 
    Azure - GPT
    Bedrock - Claude
  • Note: You will need to manually update the model if new versions become available.

     

4. Agent Instructions

Customize the agent's behavior by providing clear instructions. Consider including:

  • Specific query requirements
  • Desired persona or tone
  • Input formatting guidelines
  • Step-by-step task completion instructions
  • Output length preferences
  • Contextual examples

To make your agent only use the Knowledge Base and no outside source:

  • Specify in the instructions to ONLY use the knowledge base, similar to the following example image.

Pro Tip: The more precise your instructions, the more accurate and useful your AI assistant will be.

 

5. Knowledge Base Setup

Option 1: Static File Upload

  • Drag and drop or click to upload files that will remain constant.

Option 2: Dynamic OneDrive Import (Recommended)

  1. Select + New Connection.
  2. Choose OneDrive (OAuth2).
    • A new browser tab will open for OneDrive authentication.
  3. Authentication Steps
    • Check Consent on behalf of your organization.
    • Accept the permissions.
  4. File Selection
    • Navigate to desired directories.
    • Choose specific files to upload.
  5. Finalize by selecting + Create Knowledge Base.

     

6. Security Setup

  • SSO is automatically enabled to ensure only AU Users access the agent.
    • If you want to specify access via Emails, change 'Interface Access Control' to 'Specific Emails' and input the users.

 

7. Share Agent

  1. In the top right of the page, Select Publish Agent.
  2. Select Share and Copy Link.

  3. Share this link to users to access the agent. It is recommended to post the URL in Brightspace so all students within the course can access the Agent.
