Introduction
Instructors use course announcements as a primary communication channel with students. To receive all important updates, it is recommended that you enable announcement notifications.
Pulse App
- When you first install and log into the Pulse app, you will receive a prompt to enable notifications. This is the fastest way to stay informed of new announcements.
- If you declined notifications initially, you can enable them later in the Settings menu under “Notification Options." Tap Push Notifications. You can also adjust your Email Notifications here.
- Toggle on notifications you want to receive, including the New Announcement Available notification setting.
Brightspace
- When accessing Brightspace from a computer, a notification badge appears on the notifications icon in the upper right corner when there are new updates.
- Click the icon to view all your notifications, including course announcements.
- To receive course notifications via your AU email, click your name or profile icon, then select Notifications from the drop-down menu.
You will be directed to the "Notifications" page.
- Configure your preferred notifications.
- You will begin receiving email notifications based on your selections.
