If you do not know your password
- Navigate to Okta at aurorauniversity.okta.com
- Enter your email or username, then click Next.
- Click Forgot Password?
- Click the Select button next to your chosen security method:
- Okta Verify (Recommended)
- Google Authenticator
- Phone
- If you selected:
- Okta Verify—confirm the push notification on your phone, and then select the number that matches the one displayed on the computer screen to proceed.
- Google Authenticator—Enter the code from the app into the text field and click Verify.
- Phone—Enter the code sent to your device in the text field and click Verify.
- Email—Follow the instructions in the email.
- Enter your new password in both fields and click Reset Password.
If you know your password but want to change it
- Sign in to your Okta account at aurorauniversity.okta.com
- From the Okta dashboard, click your name in the top right corner, and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Edit Profile button and authenticate with multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- In the "Change Password" section, enter your current password into the Current password field.
- Enter a new password in the New password field. For security, passwords requirements are:
- At least 14 characters
- A lowercase letter
- An uppercase letter
- A number
- A symbol
- No parts of your username
- Does not include your first name
- Does not include your last name
- Your password cannot be any of your last 4 passwords
- Enter the new password again in the Confirm new password field.
- Click Change Password.
