To enable password resets via text message, you must have access to log into your AU account. If you cannot access your account because of a password issue, please follow the guide, here, to reset your password. If you are currently locked out, please call the ITS Help Desk at (630) 844 5790 to regain access to your account. Please note that ITS will request identifying information such as the last four digits of your social security number to confirm your identity.
To set up password resets via text message:
- Log into your Okta account at https://aurorauniversity.okta.com/.
- Once you are on the Okta dashboard page, click your name in the top right corner, then click Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click the green Edit Profile button in the top right corner if it appears.
- Next, click the Edit button under the "Forgot Password Text Message" header.
- Enter your country and phone number, then click Send Code.
- A text message with a numeric code will be sent to the number you entered. Please enter that code into the prompt that appears in your browser and continue to enable password resets via text message.
